At Pen Cefn, our four child and pet friendly, traditionally built Welsh cottages have been sympathetically renovated, with thick granite stone walls and slate roofs. All have been upgraded with double glazing and are centrally heated using an environmentally friendly biomass boiler. We are very pleased to say that all have been awarded 4 Stars.

Pen Cefn Cottage Holidays is a small family run business which offers high standard self-catering accommodation in tastefully converted farm buildings. There are four cottages available for letting. Smoking is not permitted in any of the properties.

Ty Gwennol is a restored two-storey stone built detached Welsh cottage with spectacular views front and back. With oak beams and inglenook fireplace this is a delightful, comfortable and very popular cottage.

The family bedroom has a double and single bed. With lovely views over the Pen Cefn water gardens and Foel Pen Cefn, this charming little cottage is a firm favourite.

Ty Hen is on the edge of Pen Cefn property and has spectacular views over a delightful valley and the mountain known as Foel Goch. It sleeps four people in one double and one twin bedroom, has double glazing and oil fired central heating. Guests love the separate dining room which has three shallow steps leading to the lounge. Both these rooms have timbered walls and the lounge has huge timbers in the ceiling. This is a lovely cottage full of old world charm and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Hafod Las is a single storey semi-detached cottage adjacent to Pen Cefn Farm House. From the lounge and kitchen windows and the patio there is the most amazing view down the Dee Valley, where you can see Bala lake nestling between the Arenig and Aran Benllyn mountain ranges. This lovely cottage has several features which help people with mobility difficulties and is especially popular with our more senior guests. However it is open to all and there is also room to include a cot for a baby.
