Pen Cefn Cottage Holidays is a small family run business which offers high standard self-catering accommodation in tastefully converted farm buildings. There are four cottages available for letting. Smoking is not permitted in any of the properties.
Ty Gwennol is a restored two-storey stone built detached Welsh cottage with spectacular views front and back. It comfortably sleeps six people, is double glazed and has Night Storage Heating with supplementary heating if needed. With oak beams and inglenook fireplace this is a delightful, comfortable and very popular cottage.
Y Llaethdy, once Pen Cefn’s dairy is a single storey semi-detached cottage beautifully decorated throughout in country farmhouse colours. It is double glazed and has oil-fired central heating. The family bedroom has a double and single bed. With lovely views over the Pen Cefn water gardens and Foel Pen Cefn, this charming little cottage is a firm favourite.
Ty Hen is on the edge of Pen Cefn property and has spectacular views over a delightful valley and the mountain known as Foel Goch. It sleeps four people in one double and one twin bedroom, has double glazing and oil fired central heating. Guests love the separate dining room which has three shallow steps leading to the lounge. Both these rooms have timbered walls and the lounge has huge timbers in the ceiling. This is a lovely cottage full of old world charm and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Hafod Las is a single storey semi-detached cottage adjacent to Pen Cefn Farm House. From the lounge and kitchen windows and the patio there is the most amazing view down the Dee Valley, where you can see Bala lake nestling between the Arenig and Aran Benllyn mountain ranges. This lovely cottage has several features which help people with mobility difficulties and is especially popular with our more senior guests. However it is open to all and there is also room to include a cot for a baby.
Ty Gwennol is a restored, two storey, detached, stone built, traditional Welsh cottage with spectacular views front and back. This was the Pen Cefn farmhouse during the 1800’s. It has oak beams throughout and an inglenook fire place in the loungeThe cottage enjoys views of the Berwyn mountains from the windows to the front and Foel Goch to the rear. The property has been sensitively restored keeping as many of the original features as possible, without sacrificing our guests comfort and warmth! Hence, we have installed double glazing, central heating and a continuous supply of hot water. This cottage is a true all-year-round holiday accommodation.
Ty Hen is a restored single storey semi detached traditional Welsh cottage with views over the delightful Cwm Main valley & believed to be the original Pen Cefn dwelling dating back to the 1600’s. Its lounge has a vaulted ceiling & timbered walls. The lounge and dining room both have timbered walls with the cosy living room having huge beams in the vaulted ceiling. Y Llaethdy is a restored, single storey, semi-detached, traditional Welsh cottage with views over the gardens and Foel Pen Cefn. This was the dairy when Pen Cefn was a working farm, now tastefully decorated in country colours.Llaethdy is a snug little cottage and is big on charm. The main living area consists of an open plan dining, lounge and galley kitchen area with pretty furnishings in country colours. It has a real country feel and a socialable atmosphere where our guests can spend quality time together.
